Last one

So I decided to transfer to another school. My Calculus experience made me realize that should I take all my accounting classes at Phoenix, I may not be able to pass a state exam or GMAT for instance. The calculus experience made me realize that while I may do well in any of my core classes, I may ultimately not feel comfortable with what I have learned enough to be a self respecting accountant who is worthy of handling anyone's books or money. Simply because I had so many questions and needed the classroom interaction and I needed to be able to see and understand the explanations that are given which we barely had. I had to surf the web for videos where these concepts were explained, which I was not too happy about because I paid over 1500 for the class(500*3 credit hours) and I got a text book and homework and basically felt there was no reason to have paid the 1500 cause I could have bought the book and taught myself - but I would not have been credited the 3hrs...so I guess I was paying for the credits which would imply that I bought my degree...ha? (Never thought of it that way)....

Well the journey continues at UTA...go Mavericks!

Week 1, Day 3

So I studied and studied for the CLEP and did not pass the test, I should have spent the 10 dollars and just bought an official CLEP test guide because the peterson stuff I used were no good...maybe it was me..as meatwad would say - "dumb, dumb as hell"...

Now I have to take calculus or statistics or something else or 2 math classes, so I choose Calculus...I need all the prayer I can get.

The Ethics class went pretty well, she did not phone it in not one bit!! And there were no fites -D

Week 3, Day 1

So I aced econ after all...thank you God!!
BIS is going quite well, the essay assignments are hard, very hard..however I am part of this awesome team and Christine has been quite awesome with the scheduling. We are ahead of schedule and things are going very very well...
I like this teacher, he is very communicative and punctual and I like how his feedback is actually useful and insightful.

P.S.
we have no cable today and I am not quite sure how JD will do without it....-(

Day 3 week 1

So economics is finally over, however I have to wait till next week to find out my final grade. I never understood that teacher or any econ. teacher for that matter. He would ask for something e.g. a yes/no answer but deduct points because you did not expound on your answer....n'way I pray that I do not loose my A even though its an A- at the moment....

I started Information Systems this week and the teacher is so different, its like a breath of fresh air, I actually feel like I can understand and keep up with the pace, Economics was just too much infor. in too little time and the assignments did not make it any better. I must say however I did learn something as unlikely as this seemed at times because of how the syllabus was structured.

Week 4, day 3

Well, my finaid and loans finally came in and I fortunately received full funding which is a very very very good thing. The class is going well, week 2 however scared me because I was not getting responses back from the teacher in time to meet the discussion requirement and I didnt do too well but I am praying that I ace this class. I have learnt soooo much and I can hardly have a conversation with anyone (JD in particular) that has anything to do with the economy and not use the new terms and stuff....

P.S. JD got his job back, I found a beautiful, huge coffee table,we have a new couch and Bear started school.

The grades are in!

The final grades for my first class were posted yesterday and I am a tad dissapointed, but just a tad...I missed an A+ by one point.
Well economics started with a bang, however I am still holding on, I pray that this is the most difficult class I have to take in terms of requirements...there is so much to do, I am not quite sure how much I dislike it though.
